Islamabad, Dec 17: The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) is the authorized organization responsible for issuing the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).

The NADRA NICOP is intended for Pakistani nationals who plan to travel abroad or reside in other countries.

All Pakistani citizens are eligible to apply for the NICOP, which allows dual nationals to enter Pakistan without the need for a visa. A valid passport number is required to apply for a Smart NICOP. Applications can be submitted at any NADRA office within Pakistan, or overseas Pakistanis can apply through their consulates or online.

NADRA categorizes countries into two zones: Zone A and Zone B. Zone A includes European and Western countries like Germany, while Zone B covers Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

NADRA NICOP Fees

As of December 2024, the fee for the NICOP in Germany is Rs 11,340 for normal processing, Rs 16,589 for urgent processing, and Rs 21,820 for the executive category.

Applications can also be submitted through NADRA’s online platform or mobile app for added convenience.

Steps for Applying at an NRC:

  1. Obtain a token.
  2. Have your photograph taken.
  3. Your fingerprints and signature will be recorded.
  4. Complete the required data entry.
  5. Review the printed form and submit your application.

For added convenience, applicants can apply for a Smart NICOP online via the Pak Identity website, which also offers doorstep delivery.
