Islamabad, Nov 6: Nestlé Pakistan Sets Target to Increase Exports to $50 Million by 2030. To help the federal government expand the economy, Nestlé Pakistan has unveiled a new plan to boost its packaged food exports to $50 million by 2030.
Nestlé’s expansion into 26 nations was highlighted during the “Limitless Possibilities” event in Islamabad, when this ambition was announced. Rana Tanveer Hussain, the Federal Minister for Industries and Production, highlighted the importance of exports to Pakistan’s economic recovery and commended Nestlé’s contributions. He pointed out that Nestlé’s expanding export presence shows how resilient Pakistan’s private sector is and how it can help the country’s foreign reserves.
“The government’s efforts to shore up foreign reserves are directly aided by Nestlé Pakistan’s export growth vision, and their success is a testament to the resilience of the private sector, which is essential to the nation’s economic prosperity,” he continued.
By forming alliances with mega-chains like Costco in the US, Sobeys in Canada, and Sainsbury’s in the UK, we have also made great progress in moving beyond ethnic channels and into mainstream channels.Nestlé Pakistan is looking to the future and has set high standards for 2030. Simplified regulatory procedures, fair trade agreements, and export incentives are essential to achieving our goal of further expanding our worldwide reach,” he continued.
In addition to congratulating Nestlé Pakistan on the accomplishment, Claudia Thomas, Chargé d’affaires, Swiss Embassy in Pakistan, said it was encouraging to see Nestlé contributing significantly to the nation’s economic goals. By creating demand for its brands through strong trade activations and digital communications, Nestlé Pakistan has gone beyond transactional exports.
In markets such as Afghanistan, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Ghana, Hong Kong, Ireland, Libya, the Maldives, Qatar, Reunion, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Tanzania, Turkey, Japan, and Mauritius, the company’s premium brands have an exceptional on-shelf presence, guaranteeing their visibility and consumer appeal.
After 35 years of business in Pakistan, Nestlé said last year that it will invest PKR 2 billion in renewable energy, installing several solar power plants and biomass boilers at its Pakistani manufacturing facilities. By sourcing 420 million liters of milk, more than 7,500 metric tons of wheat and rice, and 50,000 tons of local fruits, Nestlé Pakistan has further reinforced its localization journey and increased the livelihoods of local farmers by sourcing over 90% of its raw and packaging requirements locally.
