Islamabad, Nov 6: The University of Engineering and Technology Academic Council in its 235th meeting chaired by Prof. Shahid Munir Vice Chancellor.
The council accepted recommendations from the Computer Science Department’s Board of Studies to introduce new bachelor’s programs in applied computing, information technology, gaming and animation, information systems technology, and an associate degree in information technology and computer engineering.
Moreover, the council proposed and ratified MSc and PhD Master training programs in mineral processing within the Mining Engineering Department based on recommendations of the Board of the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Engineering.
A new bachelor’s program in biomedical sciences has gained approval for the UET New Campus as well as Scheme of Studies for an associate degree in applied computing.
Following suggestions of the Board of the Faculty of Chemical, Metallurgical, and Polymer Engineering, the council also sanctioned an MSc in process plant management in UET Lahore.
This comprises distance learning with smart classrooms to conduct MSc programs in Safety, Health for Process Plant Management in New Campus.
