Islamabad, Sep 3: Later this week, Lenovo will present a new range of cost-effective Copilot Plus PCs at the IFA trade expo. The enlarged Copilot Plus family will include two intriguing variants powered by an as-yet-unannounced 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus CPU, according to leaked marketing documents released by well-known source Evan Blass.

These new laptops are expected to be less expensive than the Copilot Plus PCs that are on the market right now.

The IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1, a convertible laptop with a 14-inch OLED display, and the IdeaPad Slim 5x, a stylish clamshell notebook with a 14-inch OLED display option, are these new Qualcomm-based devices. Instead of using the normal 10-core Snapdragon X Plus chip, both devices will use the new 8-core version.

With new, reasonably priced variants, Lenovo hopes to increase the accessibility of its Copilot Plus PCs. The IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 will cost $1,100, while the Slim 5x will start at $990.

September is anticipated to see the release of both models. Given the European pricing strategy, it is possible that these Copilot Plus PCs may cost a lot less than the Surface Laptop 7, which is currently the most affordable model at $1,325.Lenovo is adding devices with Intel and AMD CPUs to its Copilot Plus lineup, in addition to the Qualcomm-powered ones.

The newest Core Ultra Series 2 CPUs from Intel will power the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, a 15-inch laptop. The Yoga Pro 7 and IdeaPad Slim 5 will utilize the latest Ryzen CPUs from AMD in the meantime.
