Islamabad, JULY25: In an effort to improve convenience for locals, the Sindh Transport Department has launched a new route for the electric bus service in Karachi. “EV-4,” the recently constructed 55-kilometer highway, connects Superhighway with Numaish Chowrangi. Raja Abdul Razzaq and Sajid Jokhio, PPP MPAs, presided at the route’s opening.
The communities of Ayesha Manzil, Lalukhait, and Teen Hatti would benefit from the EV-4 route, which passes through important locations including Dumba Goth, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Sohrab Goth, and Al-Asif Square, according to Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon.
Memon emphasized that the goal of this program is to boost regional economies, lower travel expenses, and lessen traffic jams. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing accessible, cutting-edge transportation options, adding that more buses will be added in the future, along with the development of new routes.
Three new routes for the Peoples Bus Service in Karachi were unveiled earlier in July by the Sindh Transport Department. The new routes include an expansion of Route 12 and a service from Hawksbay to Tower, which will begin on July 22. The Peoples Bus Service will also start running on July 23 from Qaidabad, Korangi, and Memon Goth to Tower, which was formerly serviced by the Khokhrapar route.
