Islamabad, Oct 28: New Envoys Present Credentials to the President. At a credential ceremony on Monday at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the ambassadors of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State of Palestine, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Uzbekistan, Kenya, and the Republic of Turkiye gave President Asif Ali Zardari their diplomatic credentials.

The ambassador-designate of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Choe Chang Man; the ambassador-designate of the Kyrgyz Republic, Avazbek Atakhanov; the ambassador-designate of the State of Palestine, Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamdallah Zaid; the ambassador-designate of Uzbekistan, Alisher Tukhtaev; the High Commissioner-designate of Kenya, Lt Gen (Retd) Peter Mbogo Njiru; and the ambassador-designate of Turkiye presented credentials to the president.

Irfan Neziroglu, who met with the President separately as well. The president welcomed the envoys, congratulated them on their appointment, and wished them luck in advancing the mutually advantageous bilateral ties with Pakistan in the fields of trade, economics, and culture.

A well-dressed group of the Pakistan Armed Forces had earlier given the envoys a guard of honor when they arrived in Aiwan-e-Sadr.
