Islamabad, Sep 2: Another monsoon weather system is expected to move into the country’s upper regions starting on Monday.
This evening, there will likely be another period of rain due to a moist current from the Bay of Bengal, which is expected to last until September 4.
According to the Met Office, the new weather system would bring mild rainfall to districts in Punjab, including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Potohar region, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Gujrat.
On September 2 and 3, the westerly wave will alleviate the severe rains that has been falling in the Malakand, Hazara, and Peshawar divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
From now until September 4th, with sporadic breaks, Kalat, Quetta, and other regions in Balochistan will experience rain, wind, and thundershowers.
On September 3 and 4, with sporadic breaks, rain is expected in the South Punjad districts of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Layyah, Rajanpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.
On September 3 and 4, with sporadic breaks, rain is also predicted in Sindh’s Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Dadu, Jacobabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, and Sanghar.
In Murree, Galliyat, KP, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Northeast Punjab, Kalat, Khuzdar, Barkhan in Balochistan, Kirthar range in Sindh, and Northeast Punjab, heavy rains may enhance the flow of local nullas and streams, causing urban flooding in cities.
