NHA Increases Toll Tax on Motorways from Today

The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced a rise in the toll tax rates for cars using a variety of motorways, effective from July 1, 2024,

Among the main routes that will be impacted by the higher prices are the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1), Lahore-Abdul Hakim (M3), Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad-Multan (M4), Multan-Sukkur (M5), DI Khan (M14), and the Hussainabad-Hasan Abdal-Havelian-Mansehra Motorway (E35).

There will be an increase in the toll fee on the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) from Rs. 240 to Rs. 350 for cars, Rs. 400 to Rs. 550 for vans, Rs. 550 to Rs. 700 for coasters and minibuses, Rs. 790 to Rs. 1000 for buses, Rs. 1040 to Rs. 1300 for trucks, and Rs. 1270 to Rs. 1500 for trailers.

The NHA states that the additional revenue derived from these tolls will be used for improving and maintaining national highways, allowing for safer and more efficient travel for all.
