Islamabad, Oct 14: Nooh Dastgir Dominates Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship
Nooh Dastgir Butt of Pakistan is still making waves in the powerlifting world, having won seven gold and one bronze at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship.
With this outstanding accomplishment, Butt has successfully transitioned from weightlifting to powerlifting, demonstrating his extraordinary strength and willpower.
Butt competed in the 120+ kg class and proved to be a formidable opponent in both the equipped and traditional events. In the equipped division, he swept the board with all four gold medals, making his performance more impressive.
With a dominant squat of 340 kg, Butt won his first gold medal and signaled the beginning of his domination. His winning streak was extended with a 210-kilogram bench press and a strong 300-kilogram deadlift, bringing his total to 850 kg and winning him the equipped division overall.
Butt’s success continued into the classic class, where he augmented his collection with three more gold medals and one bronze.
