Islamabad, Sep 19: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Professional Education Foundation (PEF) and the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) to assist students who are financially challenged and enrolled in the university. In order to work together on this cooperative project, the MoU was signed in a ceremony that was attended by NUST and PEF authorities.
“The support of philanthropists is crucial for NUST’s mission to become a need-blind institution, ensuring that no student is forced to leave their education due to financial constraints,” said Rector of NUST, Engr. Javed Mehmood Bukhari, speaking on the occasion.
In order to assist more students, PEF Chairman Hafiz Ul Haq announced an extension of support, which will include more scholarships, simplified procedures, and more inclusive qualifying requirements.
Hafiz Ul Haq, Chairman of PEF, and Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Pro-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Commercialization, signed the formal agreement. Attendees at the occasion included Resource Mobilization Officer Saadia Sadat and Director of Advancement and Head of Global Engagements Arooba Gillani.
