Islamabad, Sep 5: Book-style foldables are all competing to become the thinnest with Samsung even rumored to release an additional thinner model for the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Now rumor has it that OnePlus’s upcoming iteration will also be one of the thinnest options available.

The successor to last year’s Oppo Find N3/OnePlus Open was recently teased by renowned Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station, although the original post has since been removed.

The Find N5, which omits the number “4” from its naming convention—possibly because of tetraphobia, a cultural dislike of numbers—is said to have remarkable specs.

Qualcomm’s potent Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset will be at its core. In addition, the device will have a 50MP primary camera with a Sony sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, a unique circular camera island, and an interior folding display with high resolution (“2K+”).

The Find N5, in addition to its elegant appearance, is said to have a number of significant improvements. It is anticipated that the improved water resistance will solve a shortcoming of the previous model, which only provided IPX4-rated basic splash resistance.

The gadget is also reported to have a three-stage alert slider, which is a well-liked feature frequently seen on OnePlus smartphones.

Although the exact release date is yet unknown, industry rumors point to a window of opportunity between January and March.

It’s possible that the OnePlus Open 2 will only be available in China at first, with a worldwide release to follow later.

The OnePlus Open 2 is expected to carry over the remarkable features and specifications of its Chinese cousin, the Find N5, if these speculations about them are true.
