Islamabad, Sep 27: The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has created a top-notch educational system that is made up of 24 institutions spread across the nation, including Azad Jammu & Kashmir. These comprise 22 secondary and higher secondary level educational institutions as well as two cutting-edge colleges: OPF Girls College, F-8/2 Islamabad, and OPF Boys College, H-8/4 Islamabad.

More than 2500 of the more than 17,000 students enrolled in OPF institutions are the offspring of Pakistanis living abroad, an official source told APP here on Friday. These organizations employ 1282 staff members, including in teaching and non-teaching roles.

He explained that the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) is a ministry under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD). The OPF Education Division was given the following responsibilities: providing scholarships, stipends, or grants to the children of emigrants for their studies in science, technology, art, and management in Pakistan and overseas. These were made possible by the Emigration Rules made under the Emigration Ordinance 1979, the Articles of Association, and the Memorandum of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation.

From pre-nursery through graduation, the educational system offers overseas Pakistani citizens’ children a high-quality education. O and A Level education is also offered by educational institutes in Islamabad.

He continued, “OPF provides the administrative and management support, budget, human resources, and structures to ensure that the quality of service delivery is maintained at a high level.” OPF was always developing plans, policies, and strategies for OPF Educational institutions’ growth and educational reforms. The Education Division oversees the application of pertinent rules and regulations that are drafted for the schools within the OPF Education System.

According to the source, OPF Girls College was founded in 1985 on a 100-kanal plot of land in Sector F-8/2 Islamabad, the center of the capital city. For the past 29 years, the college has offered high-quality education to the general public and children of Pakistanis living abroad, ranging from pre-nursery to graduation.

Currently, the college has 4,800 enrolled students, of whom 702 are the offspring of Pakistanis living abroad. The children of OPs can stay in the hostel provided by the institution. It can accommodate over 100 students from primary school to graduation by offering boarding and lodging facilities.

There is also a transportation service for students to and from the college. 450 highly skilled instructors and non-teachers work tirelessly to ensure the school is at the top. OPF Girls College has achieved remarkable success in academics and finances over the years, and it is today recognized as a sign of prestige because to the unwavering efforts and dedication of its staff. On a 56 kanal plot in H-8/4 Islamabad, OPF Boys College was founded in 2001.

College offers middle-to intermediate-level instruction of a high caliber. Currently enrolled in the college are about 1400 students, of whom 256 are the offspring of Pakistanis living abroad. All 122 members of the teaching and non-teaching staff are working hard to gain the trust of the parents and pupils.

A hostel is being built to provide boarding and lodging for students from various regions of the nation who come to study at OPF Boys College in Islamabad, especially for the offspring of Pakistanis living abroad. Additionally, the college offers transportation services for student pick-up and drop-off. 22 additional educational institutions, including Azad Jammu & Kashmir, have been founded by OPF in various places across the nation.

These academic establishments offer top-notch instruction at all educational levels, including pre-kindergarten and secondary/upper secondary. These 22 educational institutions are home to 10,879 students, 1,550 of whom are the offspring of Pakistanis living abroad.

These establishments are connected to the intermediate and secondary school boards in their individual areas.
