Islamabad, Sep 2: A Pakistani-German Facilitation & Reintegration Centre (PGFRC) has been established in Lahore by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. An advice desk is located at the Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) at the head office. The goal, according to an official source who spoke with APP, was to make it easier for Pakistanis living abroad to come home so they can develop their skills in Pakistan’s social and economic fabric and find lucrative jobs.
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is supporting its implementation, which is being carried out in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The Overseas Pakistani Foundation, Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on technical assistance to the facilitation & reintegration center for Pakistani workers.
In the long run, this program will boost economic development by giving Pakistani workers greater employment possibilities and employability. The center offers a range of services, such as guidance on skill development and training.Training in the arts and sciences, guidance on employment trends and prospects, assistance in locating employment in Pakistan, support for entrepreneurs and start-ups, psychological assistance, details on Pakistan’s healthcare system, information on living conditions, and guidance on obtaining microloans and microfinance.
