Islamabad, Aug 29: More than five years have passed since the introduction of foldable cellphones. The industry is looking forward to tri-fold gadgets as the next evolutionary step as the technology advances.
After major manufacturers like Huawei and Tecno leaked images of their tri-fold prototypes, Oppo is now taking center stage to present its interpretation of this innovative form factor.
With a rendering of its next tri-fold smartphone, Oppo is giving consumers a glimpse into the future of foldable smartphones. Product manager for the Oppo Find series Zhou Yibao posted a picture of the gadget that highlights its unique design, which has two hinges, an almost bezel-less primary screen, and a chic faux leather back.
The render also displays an altered ColorOS interface from Oppo, complete with a handy taskbar and huge widgets tailored for the tri-fold form size. Although the picture offers an impressive visual representation of Oppo’s threefold goals, specific information about the hardware specifications of the handset is still lacking.
Oppo has only released a render, but Tecno and Huawei have shown off real smartphones in their tri-fold designs, so we’re excited to see the device in action.
This disclosure follows earlier rumors indicating that Oppo and rival Vivo intended to leave the foldable smartphone market. Oppo quickly disproved these allegations and reiterated its dedication to innovation in the foldable market.
