Islamabad, Nov 14: Pak-Lebanon Relations Highlighted as Historical and Strong, Rana Mashhood. Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan expressed his optimism on Thursday that peace in Lebanon would soon be restored.
During a discussion with Lebanese Ambassador Ghassan El Khatib regarding various initiatives and partnerships aimed at empowering the youth in both nations, he noted that Pakistan and Lebanon have a history of friendly and cooperative relations based on shared cultural and religious principles.
He underlined his long-term dedication to youth matters, having been active in this field since 2002. Furthermore, he mentioned that although Lebanon is currently facing challenges, the hardships faced by the Lebanese people are expected to be resolved in due course. Mashhood stated that Pakistan holds Lebanon in high regard and that the two countries benefit from strong cooperation in various multilateral platforms, such as the United Nations and the OIC.
Lebanese Ambassador Ghassan El Khatib conveyed his appreciation for Pakistan’s support, stating that Pakistan consistently shows solidarity with its fellow Muslim nation. In addition, Khatib expressed a strong desire to enhance collaboration across various sectors, emphasizing the significance of working together with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme to execute strategic initiatives.
The meeting concluded with both leaders sharing a hopeful outlook on future collaborations that would strengthen the relationship between Lebanon and Pakistan. Key officials, including Syeda Aamna Batool, the focal person for PMYP’s international relations, were also present during the meeting.
