Islamabad, Mar 30, 2025: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art 25-storey headquarters in Islamabad’s Blue Area.

The skyscraper will serve as a landmark development, introducing modern infrastructure in the heart of the capital city.

During a recent meeting at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Secretariat, the Design Vetting Committee (DVC) formally approved the architectural blueprint for the upcoming high-rise.

The design, prepared by renowned consulting firm M/s NESPAK, received a green signal for its innovative and sustainable approach.

The session was presided over by Dr. Muhammad Khalid Hafiz, Member Planning & Design at the CDA. Key officials from the Pakistan Airports Authority, including the Director of Planning & Development.

Additional Director ADP (M&E), and Deputy Director Architecture, were also present to discuss the project’s framework and execution.

Spanning an impressive 1,240,990 square feet, the new headquarters will include six underground levels dedicated to parking, ensuring ample space for visitors and employees.

A standout feature of the building will be its central atrium, which will extend from the ground level all the way to the rooftop, enhancing natural light and ventilation within the structure.

Designed with a sleek, curved exterior, the building will incorporate a double-glazed curtain wall system, boosting energy efficiency while giving it a contemporary look.

Additionally, green courtyards and sustainable elements have been integrated into the plan, promoting an eco-friendly work environment.

The high-rise is expected to set new standards for corporate infrastructure in Pakistan, merging modern aesthetics with sustainability.

With its prime location in Blue Area, the PAA headquarters will not only provide a cutting-edge workspace but also contribute to Islamabad’s evolving skyline.

As work progresses, this mega project is anticipated to attract attention for its architectural excellence and environmentally conscious design.

The Pakistan Airports Authority’s initiative highlights its commitment to advancing urban development while ensuring functionality and sustainability in corporate spaces.
