Islamabad, Aug 30: During their phone call on Friday, Bangladeshi government Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif agreed that close collaboration was necessary to advance the prosperity of their respective nations’ populations.

According to a PM Office press statement, the leaders also discussed how improving regional cooperation might be essential to improving the lives of South Asians. As Professor Muhammad Yunus took on the role of Chief Adviser, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated him and acknowledged his contribution to Bangladesh’s socioeconomic growth. He conveyed his condolences for the destruction brought about by Bangladesh’s recent floods.

The prime minister emphasized the significance of reviving bilateral relations by means of increased collaboration across several sectors. He acknowledged the strong ties that Pakistan and Bangladesh share on a historical, religious, and cultural level and expressed a strong desire to strengthen trade, cultural exchanges, and interpersonal relationships.
