Islamabad, Sep 27: Meeting Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran, on the fringes of the 79th UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday was Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
After reviewing the whole range of bilateral relations, both parties emphasized the need to develop cooperative relationships that benefit both parties and to further expand good neighborly ties.
The prime minister emphasized the significance of strengthening connections and cultural links with Iran, as well as bilateral trade and investment. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s position on Palestine, calling for an urgent humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza and an end to hostilities with Lebanon and Palestine.The gathering facilitated the reaffirmation of mutual support and presented prospects for further fortifying this alliance.
