Islamabad, Oct 20: Pakistan Hosts Inaugural Trade Expo in Oman to Boost Bilateral Commerce. In an effort to boost bilateral trade, Oman will import goods from Pakistan in 12 different categories this fiscal year.

Pakistani businessmen received millions of dollars in export orders as a consequence of the two-day inaugural Pakistan-Oman Inaugural Trade Expo and Business Conference, which ended Thursday in Muscat.

Pakistani businesses have inked export orders for home textiles, sports, rice, children’s clothing, leather goods, food, consumables, chemicals, plastics, and pharmaceuticals, according to an official notification.

64 Pakistani companies from ten different categories textiles, apparel, fashion, sports goods, surgical instruments, pharmaceuticals, handicrafts, and hotel investment exhibited their goods under one roof for the first time in Oman, making the expo historic.

The event drew around 1,000 business people. Both the Omani government and the business sector expressed their appreciation for Pakistani goods. 172 business representatives from leading Pakistani firms, including female entrepreneurs, attended the event, according to the announcement.

Imran Ali, Pakistan’s ambassador to Oman, thanked the Omani government for organizing the expo. According to him, this event ushers in a new era of Pakistan-Oman economic cooperation. According to him, facilitating frequent meetings between the business and trade communities leads to new trade and investment prospects.
