Islamabad, Dec 11: Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s aggression against Syria and its unlawful occupation of Syrian territory.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, in an official statement, described the attack on Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity as a severe violation of international law.
She emphasized that Israel’s provocative actions escalate tensions in an already unstable region and constitute blatant defiance of international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, rejecting any Israeli attempt to acquire territory through force. The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s backing for UN Security Council Resolution 497, which deems Israel’s annexation of the Golan Heights “null and void” with no legal standing.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take swift and decisive measures to hold Israel accountable for its repeated violations of international law and acts of aggression in the region.
She further reiterated Pakistan’s stance that lasting peace in the Middle East requires Israel’s complete withdrawal from all occupied territories, including Palestine and the Syrian Golan Heights.
