Islamabad, Jan 13: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, officially signed the annual Hajj agreement for 2025 on Monday. The agreement solidifies arrangements for 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims to perform Hajj this year, ensuring improved facilities and support for a seamless pilgrimage.

Enhanced Facilities for Pakistani Pilgrims

As part of the agreement, special accommodation in Mina will be offered to Pakistani pilgrims at reduced rates. Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah assured full support to provide state-of-the-art facilities, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s commitment to making Hajj a memorable and spiritual experience. Measures to improve transportation, lodging, and on-ground support were also discussed, emphasizing the shared dedication to serving pilgrims with excellence.

Innovative Programs and Technology Integration

To enhance the Hajj experience, Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced a short Hajj program lasting 20 to 25 days. Pilgrims can now customize their stay in Madina, choosing accommodations for four to eight days. Each pilgrim will receive a specially designed kit containing the Pakistani flag, a QR code for identification, and essential information.

A dedicated mobile app will also provide pilgrims with real-time updates on their group’s activities, training schedules, flight details, and accommodations. The app features live maps of Hajj sites, ensuring that pilgrims have access to accurate and timely information throughout their journey.

Participation in International Hajj Conference

Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain will also attend the four-day International Hajj Conference and Expo in Jeddah, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj. This event will focus on finalizing additional agreements with service providers to enhance the pilgrim experience.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

In a meeting with Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister Hussain commended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, and the Saudi government for their continued efforts in facilitating pilgrims. He highlighted the historic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the potential for stronger economic and cultural collaboration.

Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to serving Pakistani pilgrims, recognizing their large presence during Hajj and the enduring bond between the two nations.

This year’s Hajj arrangements promise a better experience with enhanced facilities, innovative programs, and a shared dedication to the spiritual well-being of pilgrims.
