Islamabad, Dec 10: Pakistan and Tajikistan will have their Joint Commission meeting here with the goal of enhancing their bilateral trade relations.
According to a press statement released by the Economic Affairs Division here on Tuesday, Federal Minister of Energy Sardar Awais Laghari and Tajik Minister for Energy and Water Resources Juma Daler Shofaqir will co-chair this meeting, which is being sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
The joint commission intends to sign memorandums of agreement and assess the state of cooperation in a number of areas, including energy. The relationship between the two countries, which has been gradually improving, has advanced significantly with this development.
Notable attempts have been made in recent years to strengthen trade and economic relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan. To strengthen their relationship, the two nations have inked a number of accords.
