Islamabad, Aug 26: Along with the British-Pakistani Mayors’ Association (BPMA), the High Commission of Pakistan in London co-hosted a seminar with the theme “Promoting trade, investment & tourism in Pakistan.”
Numerous past mayors and council members, British-Pakistani businessmen, representatives from the Pakistan High Commission, and locals attended the event. The primary guest was High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal, according to a press release that was delivered here on Sunday.
Alderman Mushtaq Lasharie CBE, Chairman of the BPMA; Asif Rangoonwala CBE, Chairman of the British Pakistan Foundation; Fiazullah Khan, Secretary General of the BPMA; and Wandsworth Mayor Sana Jafri were among the notable speakers.
In his keynote speech, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, said that Pakistanis living in the UK have accomplished a great deal through hard work and are serving as a link between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. He said that the only way to guarantee Pakistan’s prosperity in the future is to invest in its youth.
According to Dr. Mohammad Faisal, our strength is unity, and in order to compete in the community of nations, we need to be committed to excellence, plan strategically, and work together. He emphasized the need of cooperating to realize Pakistan’s potential and demonstrate to the rest of the world that we are a country rich in opportunity, tenacity, and unending beauty.
According to the High Commissioner, representatives of Pakistan’s consulates and High Commission are working tirelessly to assist the Pakistani diaspora in the United Kingdom. He told them that the High Commission is contacting about 400 mayors and council members who are British and Pakistani in order to arrange a meeting and talk about strategies for enhancing the advantageous ties between Pakistan and the UK.
The conference speakers underscored the significance of the British-Pakistani community in advancing trade, investment, and tourism in Pakistan. They honored the diligent Pakistani expats living in the UK who provide important services to the commercial, healthcare, and educational sectors. The presenters also emphasized the importance of genuinely interacting with British company owners in order to promote Pakistan’s commercial, tourism, and agricultural potential.
