Islamabad, Oct 23: Pakistan’s 3G/4G User Base Surpasses 138 MillionAccording to data from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the number of cellular users rose from 193.098 million at the end of August 2024 to 193.346 million at the end of September.
According to the data, there were 138.731 million 3G and 4G customers in Pakistan by the end of September 2024, up from 137.920 million by the end of August 2024.
Cellular teledensity, or the number of connections per 100 people in the nation, was constant at 79 percent by the end of September, but Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration rose from 56.72 percent by the end of August 2024 to 56.96 percent.
By the end of September, Jazz had 2.443 million 3G users, down from 2.718 million at the end of August. By the end of September, there were 49.418 million Jazz 4G users, up from 48.843 million at the end of August.
While Zong’s 4G user base grew from 37.627 million at the end of August 2024 to 37.869 million by the end of September, the company’s 3G subscribers fell from 1.932 million by the end of August to 1.912 million.
While the number of Telenor 4G customers grew from 25.189 million at the end of August to 25.399 million at the end of September, the number of Telenor 3G subscribers fell from 1.519 million by the end of August to 1.481 million by the end of September.
By the end of September, there were 2.143 million Ufone 3G users, up from 2.167 million at the end of August. By the end of September, there were 16.368 million Ufone 4G users, up from 16.243 million at the end of August.
