Islamabad, Oct 11: The national selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has undergone alterations. Former captain Azhar Ali and recently retired umpire Aleem Dar are anticipated to join the group.

The selection process was restructured in response to Muhammad Yousuf’s resignation from the committee two weeks ago, which led to this development.

The PCB is reportedly completing the new composition of the selection committee, and an official announcement is expected shortly, according to insiders. Former fast bowler Aqib Javed and former captain Azhar Ali, who both bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to the table, are expected to be on the reorganized committee. Asad Shafiq, a former cricketer, will continue to serve on the committee.

Aleem Dar, a former elite umpire for the ICC, is probably going to be added to the committee as a noteworthy addition.

He will contribute to the selecting process with his vast gaming expertise and worldwide experience. As the team’s data analyst, Hasan Cheema is anticipated to offer statistical insights to support decision-making, and Aqib Javed will supervise other important committee concerns.

Azhar Ali is expected to have youth development duties in addition to his selection committee duties, which reflects the PCB’s emphasis on developing young talent and laying a solid basis for Pakistani cricket’s future.
