Islamabad, Apr 13, 2025: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has unveiled plans to launch direct flights from Lahore to Baku, Azerbaijan, starting on April 20, the airline’s official representative announced on Sunday.

As per the airline’s spokesperson, PIA will operate two flights each week, departing every Sunday and Wednesday.

This new route aims to foster stronger connections between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, particularly in terms of tourism and trade.

However, A special event was held in Karachi to celebrate the new flights, inviting travel agents and tour operators.

During this gathering, comprehensive details about the Baku route were shared with attendees.

The PIA spokesperson emphasized that Baku is seen as a promising destination and expressed optimism about the route’s financial success.

“The airline is committed to ensuring the commercial prosperity of the Baku flights,” the spokesperson stated.

Additionally, the spokesperson highlighted the crucial role of travel agents in ensuring the success of the route, as they serve as the vital bridge between the airline and potential passengers.

Emphasizing the strategic importance of the new flights, the spokesperson noted that this direct connection between Lahore and Baku would play a key role in enhancing tourism and fostering economic growth between the two nations.
