Islamabad, Oct 31: PM and Amir of Qatar Explore Pakistani Artwork at National Museum of Qatar. On Friday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Amir Shiekh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani toured the National Museum of Qatar’s “Manzar: Art and Architecture of Pakistan from 1940s to Today” gallery showcasing Pakistani artwork.
The Prime Minister and the Amir of Qatar visited the museum jointly following bilateral delegation-level meetings. The prime minister was shown the exhibition’s artwork by the Amir of Qatar and his sister, Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, who also serves as the Chairperson of Qatar Museums. In a relaxed and cordial setting, they also introduced the organizers and the Pakistani artists.
PM Shehbaz Sharif conveyed appreciation for hosting the “Manzar” art gallery and supporting Pakistani artists. He remarked that every Pakistani should be proud that this show was being held. The prime minister underlined that the creation of the “Manzar” art gallery, which features Pakistani artwork, was a reflection of the close social ties and fraternal ties between Qatar and Pakistan.
The prime minister visited with prominent Pakistani architects Nayyar Ali Dada as well as Pakistani calligraphers, painters, photographers, and other artists while on the trip. The exhibition featured calligraphy, paintings, photography, and other works of art from Pakistan.
The exhibition featured paintings by Shakir Ali, Sadeqain, Gul Ji, Zubaida Agha, Kamil Ali Mumtaz, Nayyar Ali Dada, and a number of other Pakistani artists.The prime minister, meanwhile, expressed his profound gratitude for the kind welcome from Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, in his post on X. Pakistan cherishes the unique friendship it has with Qatar!We are strengthening ties between Pakistan and Qatar with this visit.
