Islamabad, Oct 31: PM Shehbaz and Qatari PM Discuss Enhanced Trade and Investment Cooperation. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the prime minister of Qatar, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday. The two leaders talked about ways to improve their bilateral ties, with a special emphasis on expanding cooperation in sectors like commerce, investment, energy, and cultural exchange.

According to a press release from the PM Office, two leaders agreed during the “very extensive and productive” conversation on the value of maintaining high-level interactions to advance understanding, encourage collaboration, and pinpoint new areas for development.

During his two-day official visit to Qatar, the prime minister thanked Qatar for its ongoing support in a number of areas and highlighted Qatar’s contributions to Pakistan’s economic development.

He underlined the possibility of further cooperation and restated Pakistan’s dedication to strengthening economic ties. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to his Qatari colleague for serving as a personal link between the two friendly nations by housing a sizable Pakistani diaspora.

In their discussion of regional and international issues, the leaders emphasized the necessity of cooperative efforts and peaceful resolutions to problems. Prime Minister Shehbaz also praised Qatar’s steadfast efforts to advance regional peace and stability as well as its moral position on the Gaza crisis.

He acknowledged that Qatar’s efforts are essential to fostering enduring peace in the Middle East and commended its humanitarian efforts and diplomatic engagements to end the conflict and lessen the suffering of the Gaza population, as well as its function as a mediator and supporter of a fair settlement of regional disputes.

In keeping with Qatar’s aim for regional security and economic progress, the prime minister of Qatar emphasized Pakistan’s strategic significance in the area and conveyed his excitement for deepening relations with Pakistan. He also demonstrated his determination to cooperate with Pakistan in order to bring about regional peace, notably in Afghanistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also invited Qatari investors to learn more about Pakistan’s several economic areas, like as tourism, information technology, and agriculture. He talked about possible incentives to make it easier for foreign investors to enter the Pakistani market and emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment for them.

The prime minister conveyed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and the Amir of Qatar for their gracious hospitality to him and his delegation.

He underlined that both countries would gain from the visit, which would strengthen the close ties of friendship, respect, and collaboration between Pakistan and Qatar.
