ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) forecast on Sunday, the next 24 hours would primarily bring hot and humid weather to most of the nation. However, isolated locations in the Potohar region, Islamabad, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, northeast Punjab, and Kashmir are predicted to see rain, windstorms, or thundershowers.
The synoptic situation indicated that mild moist currents from the Arabian Sea were entering the country’s upper regions and were probably going to get stronger starting on Monday night or early Tuesday morning.On Monday evening/night, a westerly wave was also predicted to approach the country’s higher regions.
In isolated locations across northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, northeast and south Balochistan, and Gilgit Baltistan, rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms have occurred during the past 24 hours.In other regions of the nation, the weather was hot and muggy.
Chakwal 02, Sheikhupura 02, Kashmir: Garhi Dupatta 17, Rawalakot 06, Balochistan: Zhob 05, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Kalam 03, Lower Dir 01, Gilgit Baltistan: Astore 01mm, and Punjab: Narowal 27mm were the locations where rainfall was reported.The highest recorded maximum temperatures were 45C in Bhakkar, 46C in Dadu, 47C in Sibbi, Nokkundi, Jacobabad, and Dalbandin.
