Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Tuesday that his recent five-day trip to China was a success, revealing that a high-level Chinese delegation would soon visit Pakistan.

During a federal cabinet meeting chaired by the prime minister, he commended his team, including federal ministers and secretaries, for their collective efforts, which he said had led to strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and China.

Despite security concerns raised during discussions with Chinese leaders and business representatives, the prime minister described the visit as ending on a positive note.

“I can confidently say that the visit concluded positively. During conversations with the Chinese ambassador at the banquet hosted by the Communist Party Secretary in Shanxi province, I felt deeply that the visit was very successful,” Prime Minister Shehbaz stated, briefing the cabinet members on his trip.

He expressed gratitude to all cabinet members, particularly Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Dr. Musaddik Malik, and Shaza Fatima Khawaja, as well as relevant federal secretaries, for their combined efforts, which contributed to the visit’s success.

The prime minister expressed optimism that these collective efforts would facilitate the smooth and successful implementation of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
