ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 6: The team’s departure for Islamabad has been delayed as a result of the widespread demonstrations that have broken out in Bangladesh, clouding the prospects for Bangladesh’s A cricket team’s much anticipated tour to Pakistan this month.

The Bangladesh A squad was supposed to travel to the city of Pakistan early on Wednesday morning in order to play three 50-over games and two four-day matches between August 10 and August 27.

The ongoing instability in Bangladesh, which started last week, has cast serious doubt on the tour’s viability, though.

As a result of widespread demonstrations calling for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation, the situation in Bangladesh dramatically changed.

The tour’s safety worries have increased, and logistical challenges have been made more difficult by the political unrest.

The men’s A cricket team’s flight for Islamabad has been delayed by 48 hours due to unanticipated events, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has notified the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Over the past two days, there has been regular communication between the two cricket boards, and they will keep working together to amend the tour schedule. It is anticipated that more information will be released soon.

The first four-day match of the tour was scheduled to begin on August 10 and the second on August 17. August 23, 25, and 27 were the dates assigned for the three One Day Internationals (ODIs).
Both boards are dedicated to making sure the tour goes as smoothly as possible in spite of the difficult circumstances, despite the delays.
