Islamabad, JULY24: The Xiaomi SU7 electric car continues to be highly popular in China, where used units can command prices higher than their initial purchase price.
In a video posted on July 23, a blogger by the name of Li Dazhui sold his Xiaomi SU7 Max Founders Edition to illustrate this phenomena. After learning from a friend that the model was selling for more money on the secondary market than he had paid for it, Li made the decision to sell his car. The Founders Edition is no longer in production, which adds to its high resale value.
The Vehicle Was in an Accident
Li drove more over 3,600 kilometers in the three months that she had the vehicle. There was some damage from a minor rear-end collision that the car was in. Li includes a snapshot from an app that shows different second-hand Xiaomi SU7 prices in his video. For a car with 600 km on the odometer, the price of the Founders Edition was 343,000 yuan (47,150 USD), while a car with 1,900 km would cost 335,000 yuan (46,050 USD).
The initial price of the Xiaomi SU7 Max was 299,900 yuan, or 41,500 USD. The first 5,000 orders for the Max and Standard models of the SU7 were restricted to this unique Founders Edition, which included with free enhancements including Nappa leather, a car fridge and twenty-five speakers.
Li finally took an offer of 280,000 yuan (38,500 USD) from a Beijing used car center, even though his automobile was damaged. He commented on the Xiaomi SU7’s remarkable residual value, pointing out that even after four months of use, it had almost held onto its initial cost.
Concerning the Xiaomi SU7
There are now three Xiaomi SU7 variants available, each with unique features. Both the Standard and Pro models have 400V architecture, however the Pro has a bigger battery and can travel up to 830 km.
The Max model, which has dual motors, an 800V design, and an ADAS system based on Lidar, is a major improvement. These versions are priced between 215,900 yuan (29,900 USD) and 299,900 USD (41,500 USD). The latest SU7 Ultra prototype was just presented, and sales are scheduled to start in 2025.
