Islamabad, Feb 5: President Asif Ali Zardari and Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress, reaffirmed the enduring and robust Pakistan-China relationship during a meeting on Wednesday. In their discussions, both leaders emphasized the deep-rooted friendship and strategic mutual trust that has characterized bilateral ties for decades.
Highlighting the continued growth of this “all-weather” partnership, President Zardari and Zhao underscored the significance of high-level exchanges to strengthen cooperation. They agreed that furthering collaboration across various sectors, particularly in science and technology, renewable energy, infrastructure, and agriculture, would be essential for the future of both nations.

Additionally, discussions included ways to enhance institutional linkages between the two countries, particularly through parliamentary exchanges and participation in the CPEC Political Parties Joint Consultative Mechanism. These efforts, they agreed, would solidify the bilateral cooperation even further and ensure that the partnership continues to thrive across all levels of engagement.
