Islamabad, Feb 23: President Asif Ali Zardari Calls for Global Collaboration on Economic, Environmental, and Security Challenges. President Asif Ali Zardari has underscored the urgent need for international partnerships to tackle economic, environmental, and technological challenges, emphasizing that inclusive and sustainable development can only be achieved through global cooperation.
Addressing the 5th International Workshop for Leadership & Stability at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Saturday, President Zardari highlighted Pakistan’s strategic importance in regional trade and investment. He reiterated Pakistan’s role as a gateway to landlocked Central Asian economies, inviting international partners to utilize Gwadar Port for shared economic prosperity.
The president also stressed the significance of regional connectivity, asserting that global security, economic stability, and climate resilience require collective action. He warned against the dangers of disinformation and security threats, advocating for stronger international cooperation to navigate these challenges.
With 64 foreign participants and 32 Pakistani professionals from business, diplomacy, and governance in attendance, Zardari urged global leaders to foster economic opportunities and drive sustainable development. He called for dialogue over division, encouraging stakeholders to transform the insights gained from the workshop into practical solutions for global stability.
The National Defence University (NDU), which organized the event, briefed the president on its role in promoting global dialogue and leadership development. Zardari commended the initiative, emphasizing its critical role in shaping perspectives on governance, stability, and economic resilience in an evolving world.
