Islamabad, Sep 18: Prime Minister Shehbaz Apprises ADB of Reforms to Boost Economy.
During their meeting, PM Shehbaz highlighted key reforms including tax revenue enhancement, energy sector sustainability, climate resilience improvements, subsidy reductions, and expanding social protection.
He also expressed gratitude for ADB’s support, especially the $1.5 billion in aid following the 2022 floods.
The meeting included the signing of two major loans: $400 million for the Sindh Emergency Housing Reconstruction Project and $320 million for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Roads Development Project. ADB’s president reaffirmed continued support for Pakistan’s infrastructure and reform efforts.
