Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif embarked on a one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are accompanying him.

This marks the Prime Minister’s first visit to the UAE since his election. He is expected to hold discussions on trade and investment with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE, with meetings planned with Emirati leaders, businessmen, and heads of financial institutions.

The spokesperson emphasized the enduring fraternal ties between Pakistan and the UAE, rooted in shared religious and cultural bonds, with both countries frequently engaging in high-level exchanges.

The visit is seen as a significant step toward enhancing multifaceted bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
