Prince Harry has done things to make it easier for Prince William to carry out a big duty inside the royal family. Both Prince Harry and Prince William have a close friendship with Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster. He is going to marry Olivia Henson tomorrow, Friday, June 7, in what has been labeled the “society wedding of the year.” This week is his wedding week.

According to earlier reports, the Duke of Sussex turned down a “save the date” invitation to the Duke of Westminster’s wedding in order to avoid an unpleasant situation with his present family members, who are also due to attend. Prince William’s appointment as an usher at the wedding was made public shortly after this was published.

“It is understood that a civilized understanding was reached between the Duke [of Westminster] and Harry over the phone,” a source told The Times. After all, California is a long way away.”
They continued, referring to it as a “diplomatic” move: “Harry was invited, but he ultimately decided to decline. William was thus able to usher during Friday’s ceremony thanks to the Duke’s diplomatic maneuvers. Although he might have enjoyed directing Harry to his seat, it would have been extremely embarrassing if he had been required to do so.”

This comes after, in spite of claims to the contrary, American magazine PEOPLE Magazine claimed to be able to “confirm” that the Duke of Sussex received an invitation to the year’s most prestigious society wedding. According to a source, the magazine reports that “there was an acknowledgment on both sides that it would be difficult for Harry to attend” and that there was a “understanding between the two friends”

Harry and the Duke of Westminster reached the decision amicably, according to an insider close to Hugh Grosvenor and his fiancée. The magazine went on to say, “The decision certainly avoided the inevitable clamour had estranged brothers Prince William, 41, and Prince Harry both attended the nuptials, eliminating the possibility of the big day being overshadowed for the couple.”
