Islamabad, Apr 10, 2025: As PSL marks its 10th edition, all six team captains have urged fans to unite in support, calling the league a symbol of national pride.

The joint press conference, held in Islamabad, reflected a shared message of togetherness as players looked back on a decade of PSL action.

Shaheen Shah Afridi described the Pakistan Super League as a national achievement, encouraging cricket fans to offer their full support.

The left-arm pacer, who will lead Lahore Qalandars underlined that since the PSL belonged to Pakistan, everyone should stand behind it wholeheartedly.

Babar Azam stressed the need for fans to rally around the event. He mentioned that teams were well-prepared and eager to put on an impressive show.

Multan Sultans skipper Muhammad Rizwan also acknowledged the emotional connection to the sport of cricket holds in Pakistan.

The wicket-keeper batter further added cricket fans had every right to feel disappointed when their teams do not perform well at an important stage.

However, the Peshawar-born cricketer reminded everyone that regardless of which franchise lifts the trophy, the real winner remains Pakistan.

Rizwan also noted that while international cricket carries its own pressures, playing in front of a home crowd in domestic leagues brings a different kind of challenge.

Season 10 of the PSL is set to kick off tomorrow (Friday), with defending champions Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

PSL has grown into one of the most celebrated sporting events, not only showcasing local talent but also enhancing  image of Pakistan as a cricket-loving nation.

As the league celebrates its 10-year journey, team leaders are hopeful that fans across the country—and beyond—will treat this milestone as a festival of sport and national unity.
