Islamabad, Mar 4, 2025: Pakistan Single Window (PSW) has officially entered the design and development phase of the Airport Community System (ACS), a state-of-the-art digital platform designed to streamline air cargo operations and improve information exchange across the aviation and logistics sectors.

The initiative was unveiled during a National Workshop in Karachi, where key stakeholders from the air freight industry convened to discuss the ACS framework and existing challenges in cargo management.

As an extension of the PSW ecosystem, the system aims to enable real-time data sharing between airlines, freight forwarders, customs officials, importers, exporters, and regulatory bodies, fostering greater transparency and efficiency.

Naveed Abbas Memon, Chief Digital Officer at PSW, emphasized that under the Pakistan Single Window Act 2021, all public and private organizations involved in air cargo operations must integrate their workflows with the PSW platform.

The ACS will introduce standardized data management, synchronized workflows, and a fully digital approval process, significantly reducing operational delays and costs.

By consolidating air cargo operations onto a unified electronic system, the ACS will enhance resource optimization and expedite cargo handling. The platform will support multiple functionalities, including Business-to-Business (B2B).

Business-to-Government (B2G), Government-to-Government (G2G), and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) interactions. Additionally, it will bolster data analytics and reporting capabilities, aiding stakeholders in making informed business decisions.

To ensure compliance with global standards, PSW has engaged two international specialists with backing from the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

These experts will collaborate with PSW to align the ACS with international best practices while customizing it to meet Pakistan’s specific air cargo management needs.
