ISLAMABAD, JULY19: In comparison to the same period previous year, when it reported income of Rs. 23.9 billion, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited’s revenue for the quarter that concluded on June 30, 2024, was Rs. 26.7 billion, a 12 percent increase year over year.
During the time under review, the company did not declare any dividend payments to its shareholders.In comparison to the Rs. 1.50 billion earned during the same period previous year, the company’s profits dropped to Rs. 705 million, a 55 percent decrease. From Rs. 18.1 billion to Rs. 19.98 billion, the cost of services grew by 10% YoY.
From April to June, the gross profit climbed by 17% YoY to Rs. 6.78 billion. Concurrently, the operational profit increased from Rs. 2.2 billion to Rs. 2.7 billion, a YoY improvement of 20%.The other income was Rs. 4 billion, up 28% YoY.Note that these are the company’s results; the group results will be released once one of the subsidiaries has completed its analysis.
For the quarter, the firm reported profits per share (EPS) of Rs. 0.14, up from Rs. 0.13 during the same period the previous year, with 9.5 million shares traded on Friday, its scrip at the exchange closed at Rs. 12.93, down 5.62 percent or Rs. 0.77.
