Islamabad, Nov 23: Punjab Announces Distribution of Three-Marla Plots for Low-Income Families. A fresh plan to distribute three Marla plots to citizens throughout the province in order to offer low-income families with affordable houses has been authorized by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

At a meeting held in Lahore on Friday, the decision was made, and it was declared that the plan would start in Chistian. In the first phase, qualifying applicants will receive 666 plots. Furthermore, noteworthy advancements have been documented in the housing project known as “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar.” More than 900 applicants have already received their first loan installment, and the government intends to furnish and equip the first five homes built under the scheme.

The provincial government’s larger plan to alleviate the housing shortage and enhance living conditions in Punjab, the nation’s most populated area, includes this effort. Officials report that 38,000 applications have been verified out of 50,000 applicants whose data has been sent for verification. Over 600,000 people have registered on the program’s web portal, and 325,000 applications have been submitted.

With an aim of 100,000 dwellings by December of next year, the Punjab government has set an ambitious goal to build 47,000 homes by the end of this year. The goal of these initiatives is to enable thousands of families in the province to become homeowners.
