LAHORE: Citizens are required to pay the Excise Department a vehicle registration charge in order to purchase any motorbike or car, including a Honda CD 70.
Following the Punjab Assembly’s budget proposal’s majority vote acceptance, the province government unveiled a new automobile registration tax policy. Additionally, it raised the excise registration charge for Pridor, Honda CD 70, Honda CG 125, and other automobiles and motorcycles.
The Punjab government has declared that anyone using a motorcycle or other vehicle that is not registered would face severe traffic fines. The motorcycle must be registered with the department and the applicant must pay a specified cost.
Years have passed, but Atlas Honda still uses the recognizable engine and frame of the CD 70; the only changes are yearly side stickers and new tank designs.Motorcycles and scooters must pay a registration charge of Rs. 1,500 in addition to an annual 10% fee to transfer registration within ten years. As on July 1, 2024, the new registration cost will be in place.
The excise would start collecting a Rs 20,000 registration fee for cars under 1000cc in addition to a 10% annual transfer fee.The registration fee is 0.02 percent of the purchase price for cars with engines between 1000 and 2000cc and 0.03% for those with engines over 2000cc.
