Islamabad, Jan 3: Punjab has made history as the first province in Pakistan to fully automate its development system, a significant leap toward modernizing governance. Daily monitoring of development projects through advanced technology is now in place, as announced by Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb.

Key Highlights:

  1. Real-Time Monitoring:
    • Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz oversees projects via an online portal, ensuring transparency and efficient execution.
    • The automation system eliminates delays and enhances project delivery.
  2. Record Budget:
    • A Rs. 844 billion development budgets have been allocated, emphasizing equitable progress across political lines.
  3. Integrated Growth Model:
    • Focus on environmental sustainability alongside agricultural and industrial growth.
    • Farmers benefit from subsidized machinery to boost productivity.
  4. ‘Clean Punjab’ Initiative:
    • Expansion of Lahore’s waste management model across all districts to improve urban health.
    • Measures like banning plastic bags, adopting zigzag kiln technology, and regulating industrial emissions have improved air quality.

Collaboration with China:

Punjab is working with China to extend technology-driven reforms to other governance areas, marking a new era of sustainable and transparent development.
