Islamabad, Jan 14: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has unveiled transformative initiatives aimed at uplifting the underprivileged. The centerpiece of her efforts is the provision of free three-marla plots to deserving individuals, part of her commitment to social welfare and inclusive development.

Free 3-Marla Plots Scheme

During an event at Kala Shah Kaku, Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Maskan-e-Ravi “Zahra Homes” project, developed in partnership with RUDA and EPS Solutions Pakistan. She distributed allotment letters and keys to 100 families, emphasizing her vision for quality housing. The homes, designed using TREND EPS Smart Panel Technology, are earthquake-resistant, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly.

However, Each 400-square-foot house includes two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a courtyard. Additional community facilities such as a mosque, playground, dispensary, and RO water plant for clean drinking water enhance the project’s appeal. A 5 kW solar system ensures energy sustainability for each household.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction with the project’s quality and the amenities provided. “These homes symbolize hope and dignity for families who have long waited for such opportunities,” she stated.

In another bold step, CM Maryam approved ₹62 billion for the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ program. The initiative aims to provide loans to 40,000 individuals by May, with a focus on increasing the loan cap from ₹1.5 million to ₹2 million. Over 5,000 beneficiaries have already received loans, and more than 4,200 homes are nearing completion.

However, Beyond housing, the Punjab government is prioritizing agriculture, energy, and industrial development. In a recent review meeting chaired by CM Maryam and Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, significant progress was reported. The government announced the allocation of additional tractors and farming equipment, offering 2,000 superseders at discounted rates to empower farmers.

These initiatives reflect Maryam Nawaz’s vision to create a prosperous and self-reliant Punjab. By addressing housing, energy, and agriculture, her administration is laying the foundation for sustainable development and improved quality of life for all citizens.
