Islamabad, Apr 21, 2025: The Punjab government has ramped up its efforts to address the issue of illegal foreign residents, successfully expelling over 11,000 individuals, including Afghan nationals, from various cities in the province.
This operation, which is being carried out efficiently and quickly, has seen a total of 11,879 people transported to holding facilities.
In addition, 763 individuals who had already been detained in these holding points have been incorporated into the current operation.

The local authorities are fully dedicated to ensuring the expulsion of all illegal foreign residents, adhering strictly to international law and Pakistan’s established deportation protocols.
Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab’s Inspector General of Police, affirmed that this initiative will continue, ensuring that every step is in compliance with the country’s legal framework.
