Islamabad, Dec 14: The Punjab Education Department has established a dress code that specifies what both male and female instructors must wear in government schools. An official circular states that male teachers should dress in formal attire, such as shirts, ties, and pants, or shalwar kameez with a waistcoat. Male teachers are also supposed to have their faces clean-shaven.

Female educators are required to wear closed-toe shoes and a shalwar kameez with a scarf. Additionally, the circular stipulates that no article of apparel or footwear may be transparent. Principals of schools have been instructed to strictly enforce this regulation. As the academic year draws to a close, the department has also advised teachers to concentrate on finishing the coursework.

In addition to conducting daily lectures, teachers are supposed to focus on character-building exercises and pay close attention to their pupils’ academic achievement. In order to maintain student safety and keep kids from leaving the school grounds during recess, faculty members must keep an eye on them. Toilets should be adequately supplied with water, soap, and towels, and hygiene habits like washing your hands after using the restroom should be promoted.

To further encourage safety and resource conservation, staff members must make sure that all doors, windows, and electrical appliances such as lights, fans, heaters, and water pumps are switched off before departing the school.
