Islamabad, Sep 2: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) fined the providers a total of Rs 33,000 and disposed of about 1,550 litres of tainted milk. 46 milk-carrying cars were examined by food safety teams at various checkpoints, according to a statement from an official spokesperson on Monday.

Six of these vehicles’ milk samples were examined immediately upon receipt and were discovered to be tainted.

The group threw out the tampered milk and assessed penalties appropriately. Asim Javed, Director General of PFA, stated that hotels and milk outlets all around the city were receiving the tainted milk. Furthermore, inspections in Khanewal resulted in the disposal of over 210 kg of expired snacks, and the warehouse owners were all fined Rs 50,000.
