Islamabad, Aug 29: All government agencies in Punjab are required to set up an online system for monitoring staff attendance and leave.

The Chief Secretary of Punjab is directing this action with the goal of improving administrative openness and efficiency. All government employees will now be required by the online system to log their attendance and submit leave requests via an online portal.

The goal of this project is to reduce paperwork, reduce manual errors, and provide real-time attendance and departure updates. Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) will now be digitalized per the Chief Secretary’s instruction, which aims to streamline administration and enhance performance reviews.

The new online attendance and leave system will be implemented by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). The software will be developed by PITB, which will also provide technical assistance and oversee the platform’s migration to digital.

A component of Punjab’s efforts to update its services is the new online system. Through the use of technology, it seeks to increase accountability, efficiency, and transparency.
