Speaking at the meeting, Qazi Naeem Anjum highlighted the challenges private schools face in securing affiliation due to the lack of an online registration system. He noted that private schools were required to apply for affiliation by December 31 but could not do so because of the closure of registrations.
He urged the School Education Department to expedite the registration process to prevent further complications for private schools. Additionally, he emphasized the need for teacher training on the new curriculum for both private and government school teachers, given the changes in the 9th-grade syllabus.
Qazi Naeem also demanded concessions on tax payments for low-fee private schools operating within the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) limits and criticized the sealing of schools in LDA schemes, which he said was causing educational losses for children.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including General Secretary of Pak Awan-e-Taleem Hassan Minhas, President Sadaqat Lodhi, Faisal Gilani, and others such as Mian Yousuf, Mian Fahad Tanveer, Rana Mushtaq, Mian Ijaz, and Shahnaz Hameed.
The participants collectively stressed the importance of resolving these issues promptly to safeguard the education system and the future of thousands of students in Punjab.
