ISLAMABADA, AUGUST 7: The limits on teacher transfers and postings in government schools have been lifted by the Punjab government. The School Education Department states that instructors have from August 12 to August 31 to apply for a transfer.

By September 5, the School Education Department will have completed the evaluation of the applications. Rejectees have from September 6 to September 9 to file an appeal. On September 19, transfer orders are expected to be announced.

The education department unveiled a revised teacher transfer policy in May. The new policy states that instructors may ask for transfers at any time of year, citing hardships such as long-distance problems, incapacity, widowhood, or divorce. Wedlock and inter-district transfers may be requested at any time of the year, whereas general and mutual transfers are permitted twice a year under the new policy. District committees are required to review applications and make decisions about all promotions within a 30-day period.
